Adani Group Named Title Sponsor of Madhya Pradesh League 2025 as Gwalior Gears Up for Season Opener

Bhopal: In a major boost to domestic cricket, the Adani Group has been officially announced as the title sponsor of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) 2025. The upcoming season is set to begin on June 12 at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, which will once again serve as the host city for the entire tournament.

The MPL, organised by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the umbrella of the MP Cricket Association, has expanded this year. Teams from the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions have joined the men’s league, bringing the total number of teams to seven, up from five in the inaugural season.

Adani Group Welcomes Cricketing Partnership

“We are pleased to have Adani Group as our title sponsor,” said MPL Chairman  Mahanaryaman Scindia. “Their commitment to sports development across India is well known, and their support aligns perfectly with our vision of making the MPL one of the leading cricket leagues in the country. We are expecting a thrilling and competitive season.”

An Adani Group spokesperson echoed similar enthusiasm, saying, “We are delighted to be associated with the Madhya Pradesh League as its title sponsor. What excites us most is the addition of women’s cricket this year, which promotes gender diversity and provides a vital platform for aspiring female athletes. We look forward to a season filled with talent, passion, and inspiring performances.”

Women’s Cricket Makes Its Debut

In a landmark move, the MPL 2025 will feature a women’s division for the first time, comprising three teams, including one from Bhopal. The tournament aims to promote inclusivity and widen the scope for budding female cricketers in the region.
